Winner Best African Wholesale Offering

Gateway Communications, the leading supplier of African telecommunications services, has received the award for ‘Best African Wholesale Offering’ for an incredible fourth year running at the 2011 Capacity Awards. The awards acknowledge the efforts, innovation, investments and advances made in the wholesale telecoms market, and this particular category considers the challenges that wholesale carriers have faced on the African continent.

Gateway Communications received the ‘Customer Service Excellence Award’ for a second year in a row at the 2011 AfricaCom Awards. These prestigious awards recognise industry leaders and innovators in Africa’s telecommunications sector. The ‘Customer Service Excellence Award’ was given to Gateway Communications for the company’s focus on putting customer needs first and delivering quick and reliable service. Gateway Communications offers regular performance reporting, on-the-ground expertise and cutting edge technology to resolve problems efficiently and timeously.

Gateway Communications is a finalist for the 2011 edition of the African Business Awards for Innovation. Gateway is proud to be nominated for its CellDirect Remote Connectivity Solution and has been short listed along with Giz, mPedigree Network, Nedbank Capital and Syngenta of Kenya. The winner is to be announced at the ceremony to be held on June 22nd in London.

The AfricaCom Awards recognise initiatives taken to improve telecommunications services at a regional or continental level across Africa since November 2009. In winning the ‘Best Pan-African Initiative’ category Gateway fought off competition from industry names; Comviva, Orange France Telecom, Tata Communications and Tramigo.
