For the first time, African multinationals are able to rely on secure, cost effective communications on a pan African basis

Gateway Communications, the leading provider of Pan African connectivity solutions in over 40 African countries, has launched a new suite of corporate VSAT services. For the first time, African corporations can purchase connectivity solutions from a truly pan African provider, fully supported by 24/7 local support in 11 African countries; with 17 offices and a range of products and services to meet each of their unique business requirements.

Gateway Communications has built, and now owns and operates a C-Band 7.3m Earth Station at a co-location Teleport in Krugersdorp, Johannesburg, South Africa. The Earth Station is capable of Point to Multipoint and Mesh satellite network connectivity and Point to Point SCPC solutions.

Beamed at New Skies Satellite the Earth Station is capable of receiving and sending communications over most of Africa. The facility integrates completely into the existing Gateway Communications network and is connected via fibre to all major PoP's and hosting sites in Johannesburg.

To our customers, this means that Gateway Communications is now the most advanced network, offering unparallel reliability and security with a team of experts on hand locally to support corporate requirements.

By using African network operation centres (NOC’s) in Johannesburg, Maputo and Lagos, backed up by a major facility in Brussels, Gateway is able to continuously monitor and manage customers corporate networks ensuring operations are efficient and uninterrupted.

To celebrate these developments, Gateway Communications has recently completed a tour of Africa hosting major launch events in Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique and South Africa. Over 600 of their key corporate customers attended.
